Hear's the deal...
FMIL list is MUCH greater in size than my list (never mind FH list) anyway, FMIL says out of towners are to be invited to the RD... ok.. so all her FRIENDS from out of town and such will be invited and i know a couple cousins and his aunt and uncle from his side will be too although they are NOT out of towners..
I have 2 married cousins and their mother/my Aunt coming from FL and TX, which i have not seen in yrs... then there is one more from this family married living on LI, the only couple from this family not from out of town, who i never get to see when i am visiting LI.. I said if we invite my 2 married cousins and my aunt I have to invite the other (their sybling/son), so he goes with just not invite them all! ok... to me this is not fair that FMIL will invite her out of town FRIENS and so your not out of town aunt/uncle/and married cousin can come who you see all the time but my cousins/aunt who i havent seen in so long making a short trip from afar for our wedding are not invited??
To top it off, he is considering paying an extra $6pp for the RD to have the option of lobster added... what for, to impress WHO?? anyway, that would come to an extra 270-300 for the RD (w/o inviting my out of town cousins/aunt).. so if we keep the menu the same and invite those 7 people from my family it would cost an extra 200...
I have not reasoned this with him just yet, but does it make sence to pay an extra 270-300 so people can have the option of Lobster or an extra 200 for family members from out of town who i miss a lot and i have not seen in yrs?!?!?!
I am not so much worried about FH, but his mother.. it is ok to put everyone out by having a retarded size wedding list, but G-forbid i ask to invite out of towners from my list who are FAMILY!
