Heartbeat monitor???

Heartbeat monitor???

Has anyone rented one? I really, really want to rent one, at least for a couple of months until I really start to show. I know I'm still PG, but since I'm over 13 weeks, I've been feeling so much better, and that makes me not feel PG. I am only showing a little, so that doesn't help. I just thought it would make me feel better. Though someone keeps saying that I'll freak out if I can't find the heartbeat? I don't know, the doctor found it right away last week! Is there a certain brand anyone could recommend that works the best? Thanks girls!

Melissa- all of this worrying is NOT good for you or the baby! You have to stop waiting for something horrible to happen. You ARE having a baby and I promise you one day you will just 'pop' and be shocked!!!!
Editted to add: finding the heartbeat is not super simple for many women. I know that my baby is usually down pretty low and I would think my heartbeat is the baby's anyway. plus there are soo many other noises that you hear. it probably takes some practice and help to get it all right.

I have seen ads in the prego mags for dooplers- which is what you are looking for. I think most are around $40 per month.

At 20 weeks or so you can get one from BRU. Some probably work better than others, but they are a lot cheaper than the dooplers.

Thanks Michele31... I actually have been really good! I haven't thought about anything bad for quite sometime! Of course, I know it's because I watched an ER rerun last night, and someone had a miscarriage at 14 weeks. So, of course that made me think something bad. I'm still not used to feeling so good! How are you doing? You get to go for your anatomy ultrasound in a few weeks, right? I can't wait to go to mine, but that's not until August 28th sometime. Soon, but not soon enough! I don't have patience... I HAVE to know what it is! I'm so excited!

My next sono is July 29th- my grandmother's birthday. She since is not here with me anymore I thought it would be a nice way to spend the day this year, instead of my usual crying and just being sad all day.

Also, Melissa- in all honestly there is very, very little you can do to stop a miscarriage at this stage of the game, unless you had certain problems and a dooppler wouldn't help with any of those.
You and the baby are doing great, I am sure. Just enjoy feeling good.
