Heel Protectors

Has anyone tried those 'heel protectors' that slip on around the heel of your shoe to prevent scuffing the heel (or in my case, trying to prevent my heel from sinking into the ground since our reception will be outdoors)? I haven't bought my shoes yet but I'm starting to look and I could have so many other options if I could wear heels.

I am planning to wear heels and get the heel protectors as well. I saw them at David's Bridal. Amazon and ebay have them too.

I saw them in DSW!! I wanted them for my engagement pictures, but at the time, they were out of clear and only had black!

I just bought a pair from Amazon a few days ago. I tried them out in my apartment and so far so good. I don't want to bring my shoes outside yet otherwise I would have tested them further. The ones I got are 'Solemates' and they come in a couple colors and a couple of sizes. The clear, narrow ones worked well for my shoes. Fit like a glove!

They aren't too noticeable, mine are more noticeable because my shoes are blue and they only come in standard colors (clear, black, silver, etc,. I don't think they're bad, especially since mine are really only for the ceremony in the grass, and I will probably remove them afterwards, plus you don't see my shoes much underneath the dress.
