yeah thats about the right price for a ring like that. but who would want a ring from a failed engagement. its almost as bad as my dh friend who reused the ring from his first engagement for his current fiance and didnt even put it in a new setting. ughhhhhh

It's not necessarily a bargain and I don't think Aaron was the #1 Bachelor ofr that helene was the #1 Bachelorette. What does that mean anyway?
If Harry Winston wanted $34,000 - you could probably get it in the diamond district for less than $20,000.
Since ABC paid for the ring - any money from the sale is pure profit. I wonder if it goes to Helene?
It's not like it was owned by Grace Kelly or Princess Diana where that would add value to the ring. If anything - I'd think people would make fun of someone who bought that used ring.

I think he paid for the ring hinself.
I read in In Touch that he would only agree to sell the ring if part of the money goes to charity.

Besides, it says the winner will be presented w/ the ring by both Aaron and Helene. I thought she pretty much wanted nothing to do with him ever again?!?

And she wrote a book??!? Wonder if it's about her experience as a contestant on the show?
