Ok i recently started thyroid meds because havean underactive thyroid so most people loose once they start th med well NOT ME. i went back to the dr for my first checkup being on the meds and i gained. i told the dr i cant stop eating he said the med speeds up your meabolism but also makes you hungry but usually people still loose. HELP the wedding is ONE MONTH AWAY!!!
I think you need to talk to your doc again or find another doc to get a second opinion.
no the thyroid med does speed up your metabolism thats what its for. but in turn it also increases your appitite however most people ( my sister is on the same medicine, different dr) loose werght. a side effect of underactive thyroid is gaiing which i didnt however i couldnt loose. So now i think i just need to control my appitite somehow ( i dont mean wiht pills just self control) and hopefully ill loose but how do i get sefl control thst what i need!!!
