Hello all! I recently got engaged and I've spent a lot of time reading these boards over the past few weeks getting some great ideas and tips! So far all we have set is our date and location. We are getting married on Sunday July 3, 2011 (fyi we got a great deal on this date because it's a Sunday night but it's like a Saturday because everyone has off on the 4th!) at the Swan Club and I couldn't be more excited! Fiance and I fell in love with the whole atmosphere the moment we walked in. We are having our reception in the Chamelot room and my question for any past Swan Club bride is....How many guests did you have in this room and did it feel cramped? I know they say it can fit 230 but we don't want to be too cramped so any suggestions on how many people can really fit in this room comfortably?

My sister got married at the Swan Club July 5 this summer. The place has some terrific photo ops and the there was a huge selection of food. The ceremony space was also beautiful. My sister loved it. She also had the best bridal attendant ever!
My only complaint is that they told her the room could hold 230, she had 180 and it was cramped. It was hard to move between tables and some of the tables were in doorways. I wouldn't let that stop a bride from picking them because overall we were really happy with them, but it is something to keep in mind.

Great choice We had 150 in the room and it was comfortable.... I knew I didnt want anything even near 200

First congratulations on your engagement. For FH and I, Swan Club came in second place for us. I LOVED the outdoors and the price was amazing. The only thing that kept me from booking with them was the layout of the Camelot room. I hated how the the dance floor is against the wall and the tables seemed very close to one another. I thought that with 175 guests the room seemed a bit cramped and guests won't be comfy. Other than that the Swan Club is a BEAUTIFUL venue...Good luck!!

im getting married in that room and am expecting 200 people to attend, I made sure to ask them over and over again if it was big enough and i have confidence that it will be fine.

Congrats and welcome Wooo hooo...loooove the Swan Club. We have the Camelot room also and I'm hoping to only have 165 ppl but we may very well have 200+. I'm not really worried about it being too cramped because hopefully the majority of the ppl will be dancing and just the older people will be sitting most of the nite.

Thanks so much for the help everyone! We are going to shoot for staying as close to the minimum (165) as possible. Like you all said whatever happens I'm sure it will still be beautiful and perfect :D
