Hello Everyone...

I have not been on the boards for a while and was not going to return because of the responses to a post that I wrote last week. It was in regards to a new bride's wedding review. I would like to apologize to the girls that I singled out in my post. I sincerely did not mean to sound so rude. I was upset that so many Newbies were being questioned about their posts, and how genuine they were. As a newer member, I felt that those of you who have been on here for a very long time were not welcoming new brides. I was also upset that it was implied that a very reputable photographer was posting here pretending to be a bride. I felt that this is wrong because their reputation is on the line, being that so many of us value the advice and comments put forth on LI Weddings. I know that it is the job of the LIW administrators to police the boards, and I should have kept my feelings to myself. I truly began the post meaning to sound humorous, but I guess some of you didn't understand the sarcasm. I am a very well liked teacher and would never really send someone to the corner! It was just a joke. Anyway, I just felt that it was important to apologize for any hurt feelings. Have a nice night everyone.

This board is quite unbelievable. I am SO grateful for it. This is the only escape for me where I can talk about weddings until I'm blue in the face, and no one gets mad.

I hope you'll stick around!

I appreciate your apology, Nan. I was one of the ones singled out and it made me very angry. Thank you for your apology.

That being said, yes, these boards are an incredibly valuable resource and that is the main reason I was so concerned and suspicious about that girl's post. THis board won't fulfill its purpose in our lives if it becomes a shill for all of the vendors. I was just trying to keep it real. That's it.
