hello everyone-- new to the site-- help!

Original post by MrsS4

Hello everyone,

My name is Chrissy & im a little new to both the site & wedding planning-- I may be planning a little early but I truly want to be prepared for my big day!!!

I want to know about how much my wedding will run us as well as a little help with finding a hall... I truly had my heart set on Oheka Castle, however my father I believe will only give 50k so as I have estimated-- 20k site fee & 250$ per head will already have me way above and beyond the 50k just for the hall-- I have no problem spending more then 50k on the wedding-- I am almost positive it will be over 70k however I am now looking for a different hall-- I really do not want another wedding to take place during mine-- I do however like the was Leonards looks & the food and rooms are just beautiful-- I have not yet priced it-- but we are looking to have less then 200 people. Does anyone know another hall that resembles either Oheka or Leonards on Long Island---

Thank you soo muchh--

Chrissy

Chateau Briand can have up to 3 events at a time, I went there when I was checking out halls as well.

You may want to check places like east wind out, they have multiple weddings, but they are spread out on the hotel grounds so you never run into the other girls

Sorry for the bump

CB will ONLY do 2 events at a time unless it is sweet 16s, then they will do 3 sweet sixteens but will only do 2 weddings at a time.
Also, you never see the other bride, I got married there the same night as Matt Serra ( ) and never saw the bride or the groom-they do everything in thier power to keep the parties apart. The rooms all have their own sets of bathrooms, the only time you would see anyone else is if you are a smoke-which I am and still never saw the other party.

That's really good to know about CB with not every seeing the other bride. I just went there tonight and loved it, so I just have to show FH all the information and see how he feels about it.

Of course Im biased I think CB is wonderful but when we went in to meet with the BM we saw 2 brides int he lobby area and they were walked around and never knew the other was there....if you have been there you know that the lobby area also goes down the hall to the Normandy room. And both of them made a point to come over to us and tell us we had to book there.

Definitely when you go try and make an appt with Tom, he was FANTASTIC!!! I dont know any of the toher BMs, I just know there is one person there we DID NOT like-this person actually caused us to lose confidencein a place we never thought twice about booking.

Otherwise, the amount of food that you get is insane, the layout is really nice (no chow lines) and the BM and staff is great.

ok, im done telling you how great it is...any questions feel free to FM
