Hello to all!!!

Hi ladies,
I have been reading posts for a while but finally registered to post myself. I am so excited!!! I can't wait to get all of your valuable opinions on all my questions (and give whenever I can Just a little about my day not to bore you. It is 9/26/2003 at Leonards of Great Neck. (any other bride getting married there, I want to hear good or bad comments???) So far I have booked flowers (by A Florid Affair, again any comments welcome) Makeup by Jaqueline Nicole and am now looking for video and photos. Thinking of going with Cassarino (photo) and Bellarino (video) Any comments on those??? Well, I hope I enjoy this board as much as all of you do. Have a great day!!!!!

P.S Please give me feedback on inexpensive (but good) Videographers. Some of their prices are outrageous.

P.P.S I have been shopping around ALOT for flowers and photo so If I can help in any way please let me know, I have kept all prices of all vedors I've consulted with.

Welcome Curly, and congrats! Videography is sooo expensive. When I first started planning the video prices surprised me the most! I went with the least expensive package offered by Wild Rose and added a DVD. The least expensive video package I came across was $599 from VIP. That is their no frills package. Their deluxe was about $1100 I think. Personally, I didn't care for their videos, but some of the girls on this board were very happy with their work, so you might want to look into them.

Did you happen to look at any florists in or towards Suffolk? If so, any recommendations?

We had a surprise 50th b-day party for my dad there. It was really good. Food was good, service was good. The MD was awesome with me! The only thing that irked me really bad and I should have said something and fought to get something was that a Sweet 16 was next door. We had the room in the main lobby area and the sweet 16 was next door. FH saw two kids at my party trying to get drinks! He escorted them out and I then talked to the MD about it. He was very apologetic and we had a guard standing at our door the rest of the night. So in a sense they did make up for the error. They have great areas to take pictures in. We had the party right after New Year's so the place was decorated for the holiday and it looked awesome. We had the party before they did construction in the bottom level. I hear its really nice. My mom wanted us to book Leonard's for our wedding. Since many of my dad's guests will be at the wedding we thought it was best to have our reception somewhere else. Have a great time!!!

The florists I went to were Pedestals (mineola), Flowers by Brian (mineola), Flower Michelle Florist (Huntington), Designer Floral (westbury) and A Florid Affair (Port Washington). Flower Michele was AMAZING and reasonably priced but A Florid Affair comes to your house and were a lttle more reasonably priced. I already saw my sample centerpiece and I loved it.

Welcome and congrats..I am new to this board too and have found that I am already addicted I check it first thing after my e-mail. It is such an exciting time and it is so nice to share thoughts wiht people in the same boat! I am getting married next oct 2003 and am looking into photography now so any info you could share about that would be super helpful! Thanks..look forward to talking to you all more and hope I can be of help in some way to you too!

Welcome. I am another Wild Rose bride. I didn't book them because of price though- I booked them because of quality. I met 6-7 others, none of them were nearly as good or as pleasant to deal with.
Let us know what you need help with.
I highly recommend Debbie at Bridal Suite in Centereach. She is great and super helpful when looking for the perfect dress.
