HELP!!!

HELP!!!

This weekend, i went to the bridal showcase at east winds, my grandma came with us.. her husband offered to do all of our photos for us for the wedding.. he used to do wedding professionally,and he took our e-party pics, we loved them so we agreed, but it would just be him,and he doesn't have that big light (don't know if that is important) and my grandma said to me and FH'what is Charlie gets sick do you have a back up?'.. I said NO!! SHOULD WE??!!?? I said grams are you sure he wants to do this, we can't get a 'back up' either you book or you don't book.. oh god she scared me.. so to make a long story short.. we're getting a photographer now.. do you think we should?? would you.. the pictures are the most important part of the wedding.. memories. to show our children.. I would die, if we didn't have any pictrues of our wedding.. BUT will we offend him by getting one?? WHAT SHOULD WE DO ??? HELP??? thanks girl.. and also who do you recommend.. is there anyway to get photo/video for $4000

Duet fis your budget. Tell him you would rather have him enjoy himself at the wedding than work so that is why you hired a different photographer. He should not be offended if you say it that way.

Ok, does anyone have the phone number to duet or web site?? also, He can take pictures as well, but I'm going to tell him, that we got a duo package, for video and photo so he could enjoy himself too.. THANKS

I also agree with Julz. Not hiring a photographer may be a choice you will later come to regret. If explained diplomatically I'm sure he'll understand. Maybe he can still bring his camera and take candid shots of you guys during the day.

Go get a photographer and let Grandmas Husband enjoy the wedding with him. And you would be wise not to get into that situation with a family member . What if they don't come out like you expected then what?

I definitely agree with Julz...he should be a guest and enjoy your wedding!!! You could get a great package for $4k. I chose Patken. I would just tell him that you don't want him 'working' that day...you want him to have a good time. One of my BM is a makeup artist and offered to do my makeup for my wedding, but I don't want her to 'work'. I want her to enjoy the day, so I'm having my makeup done by someone else.
