HELP!!!!!!!
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
They are completely different settings, so it really depends on what you like (Chateau is waterfront and Wind Watch is golf course.) I'm so surprised you've heard anything bad about Wind Watch. I've heard nothing but great things. I guess I'm not much help, but I love Hamlet Wind Watch. Denise has been so great to work with.
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I think I am leaning towards the Hamlet. The only reason why I am doubting it is because I do not know anyone who has been married there and I am not sure how the food is. Did you get married there and when? Any suggestions that I should bring up to Denise.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I got married at the Hamlet in June. I love that place - everything was amazing. If you have any questions, feel free to fm me. Goodluck with whatever you decide!
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I'm getting married at Chateau La Mer. Gorgeous place, and I've heard nothing bad about it. Price was phenomenal and it's water front. I'm sure you'd love it!
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I have never been to a wedding at the Hamlet, but I have been to a wedding at Chateau La Mer and it was beautiful and the food and service were amazing.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!
Never been to Hamlet. Went to Chateau La Mer last week for a wedding. Pretty place, awkward acoustics-(maybe it was just the DJ), great kalamari, good CH. Main course----not good...JMO... I had the chateau Briand and it tasted like roast beef... yucky! Service was mediocre.
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I went to a wedding at the Wind Watch and thought it was very nice....it was a saturday afternoon affair. Honestly, I don't remember anything about the food or service--(except that the cake looked better than it tasted) but thought it was pretty.
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I went to check out the Chateau La mer for my own wedding..thought it was really nice, just not crazy about how the room was set up..felt like everyone was squeezed in behind the dance floor. They have a great menu..but one thing that bothered me was I felt like if there were two weddings scheduled for the day (which there were for every day available that we looked at) that the guests would bump into eachother some how. now the coral house (where im getting married) has more then one wedding at a time, but just the way it was set up I felt it was less likely for guests to bump into eachother (I'm in the main ballroom)
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I dont know too much but my vote would be for the Hamlet Windwatch, a friend had a 400 person wedding there ( I didnt attend) and raved about it. The chateau is beautiful and on the water, rooms are big, but I didnt like the food.
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
I had the banquet manager write up in my ocntract that I didn't want two weddings there. That I would be the only bride, and he did. Maybe it was just becuase of my day, but give it a shot if that bothers you!
Re: HELP!!!!!!!
It wasnt the fact that there was 2 weddings. I went there on Saturday afternoon about 3 and no one had started to set up for the wedding at 5. When we walked into what would be the cocktail room I noticed that some of the rug was ripped. I am also having some people who can not walk up stairs due to age and illness and the only way for them to enter was around the back. Now maybe in the spring/summer that wouldnt be bad because cocktail party will be outside but I am getting married in Dec. I also realized while in the reception room only half of the room looks at the water (where the bride and groom sit) and the other half looks at the empty pier parking lot. Now durning the day that would be ok because you would see the water but at night where the water is will be dark and all you will see it the lights from the parking lot in your pictures. Also the ceiling in the reception room needed at little work. I know I am getting a little picky but with all the money I am going to be spending i want the place to look top notch and not like something i just threw together.
