The Official Hamlet Windwatch Golf & Country Club Thread
I've been hesitant to start a thread since there's not too many of us. But now there's seems to be a couple of past brides and new brides here. Plus there have been many inquiries regarding the windwatch. Lets start this post and see if we can make this the official thread.

Great idea! I loved the Hamlet! They did a great job. One thing I recommend to all Hamlet brides: Do the combination appetizer/salad! We danced for an hour straight in between the first course and the entree, and it was great.

Really? I was going to do the seperate dishes, but hey who am I to argue two brides with experience! Thanks for the heads up. Did either of you have the dessert trays? Was it worth the extra money? Also did you guys do the signature drink?

I didn't know they would do a signature drink. That's really neat. We did the Hamlet Wind Watch salad and it was really good. We had the Finishing touches dessert thrown in as an extra because we were below our minimum. I don't know if I would have paid for it though, because the cake and the vanilla mudslide pie were enough - and both quite delicious!!!

I wanted the separate dishes, but DH wanted the combo, and he was right. More time for dancing!
Everyone says that the night just 'flies by', but I didn't feel that way. I couldn't believe when we sat down for dinner that it was only time for dinner, and there was still so much more of the night left. I think having that uninterrupted hour of partying made it that way.

Our cocktail hour started at 6:00, and the reception was 7:00-11:00. Some people hung out at the bar at the hotel afterwards, and we hung out there for a little while too. I was pretty tired by then, though.

We didnt pay for the coffee bar with the extra deserts on it. Honestly with the wedding cake and the tartuffo that we picked to go along with it, it was more then enough.

Re: Hamlet Windwatch Golf & Country Club
I just called the Hyatt. Stacey, I inquired about the rooms for the both of us (wait, your both getting married next door, one in august the other in october????? ) I spoke with Connie who was a real sweetheart and she said the both of us ought to book soon. No deposit is required to hold the rooms, but there is a two night restriction (that kinda sucks). There is a block of 10 rooms or a block of more than 10-30 but you have to guarantee 90% of the rooms will be taken.

I think Im going to block 2 hotels to offer my guests a choice in price and accomodations. FM for details.
Drewsgirl - thanks for the advice about the dessert tray. I wasnt sure if I should do it or not, but now Im thinking against it. I ended up just getting the coffee bar.

You can add me to the list as well- we are booked for March 4, 2006. I am so excited. I fell in love with the Hamlet Wind Watch the first time I saw it. Please FM me with the prices of the Hyatt b/c i need over 25 rooms to block. Are you guys staying there as well? Are you booking a suite there?

I am also thinking of having my wedding here. I have been to twenty reception halls so far and I have narrowed it down to three. I really like how the Hamlet is one bride at a time and also let's you start the wedding anytime you would like. This helps a lot so people aren't waiting around long after the church.

Past brides: When are you supposed to schedule the menu tasting? Do they call us or are we supposed to set it up? How many people can you bring with you and did you leave any sort of tip? TIA!!
