HELP! 2 young boys in wedding party question!

Okay...

so, all of a sudden, I will be having kids in my wedding party. 2 boys (neither side has a little girl). My Godson/nephew will be 3 1/2 (so cute!) and my FH's nephew will be 10 (I think) by our wedding in November. A few questions:

1) Where should I put them in the walk down the aisle? I was thinking my 3 1/2 half year old nephew could be the little ring bearer. What can the 10 year old do?

2) My nephew can walk or be carried down the aisle by my brother and sis-in-law, who are both in our wedding party. I was thinking the 10 year old can walk his mom/my FH's sister down the aisle. Or should the boys go by themselves? I saw a cute picture of a boy being pulled in a wagon? What do you think of that?

3) So, obviously the kids in the wedding party have to go take the pics after the church... and they go to the reception to be introduced in the beginning, right? So, if it's an adult reception, do they stay there? Do I get a babysitter to stay at the place? Do they bring someone to stay with the kids in the bridal suite? Do our 2 nephews just sit at tables as regular guests at the wedding, maybe with a babysitter as a back up? Is it okay to still write 'Adult reception' on the invitations if 2 members of the bridal party are children (I don't want any more kids at the wedding!)

Lots of questions... sorry... PLEASE HELP me figure this one out! Thank you!

Can I borrow someone's flower girl? lol

I think the 3.5 y/o could be your RB and the 10 y/o should be a jrGM. Either way you mentioned would be fine, they could walk down with their parents. Personally I would have them walk down together, you might not need a wagon, the 10 y/o could just hold the 3.5 y/o's hand.

I'm also having young kids in the BP and they will also be attending the reception (there will be other kids there too). If you want them there then you can have them there since they're in the BP, it's up to you and their parents. Yes, you can still put Adult Reception on the invitations. Everyone should understand that those 2 kids are there bc they're in the BP. It's also acceptable to arrange a babysitter for them after they've been introduced into the reception. This way if they start to get cranky you have someone there to 'save the day' who won't be missing out on enjoying your wedding.

i would think that the 2 boys could walk down the aisle together, holding hands... i would just make sure you have someone that the 3/5 year old can sit with during the ceremony, because kids that young could not stand still up at the alter for the whole ceremony.
my cousin was our FG and she was 3.5 at the time... i just made sure my aunt and uncle sat close to the front, so she walked down the aisle and just sat down in the pew with them during the ceremony.
as far as the reception, i would just have the 2 kids there... even if you put ' adult reception' on the invitation, everyone should understand that the 2 of them are there because they are part of the wedding... a 10 year should be able to behave ok ( i know my 10 year old boy cousin just sat at the table the whole time- LOL) and having one little one there shouldn't cause too many problems- maybe get a coloring book from the dollar store and some crayons to put at his place or a special toy to give him something to do...
as someone whos been through it- it'll all work out

I am also having young kids in my BP with an Adult only reception. I think this is fine. Your guests should understand (at least I hope mine will! lol) But seriously, they should.

I have my cousin who will be 4 1/2 as the ring bearer I think he will be walking alone. and i have my two little cousins who will be 7 and 2 1/2 as the FGs walking together. I think they should be ok. If the 2 1/2 year old decided to be fussy about walking, I don't care. It won't upset me. Do you think your 3 1/2 year old will walk by himself? If not, I think if he walks in between his parents it might be cute. It's not necessary to have the wagon IMO.

I agree that the ten year old should be considered a JRGM. I am not sure what the 'cut off age' is. I like your idea of having the ten year old walk his mother down.

I am going to discuss with the parents of the kids what to do about the reception (stay, babysitter, leave, etc) Both parents are also in my BP so I want them to be comfortable and have fun as well. If you don't care either way, I would leave it to the parents to decide. This way they feel comfortable with a decision.

I think that the 2 boys should walk down the aisle together (I don't think that the 3 1/2 year old should be pulled in a wagon, I think he is too old for that, JMO).

As far as having them at your reception, that is def your call. People will understand if you have them there and not other children. I am having the kids (2 FG's and 1 RB) being introduced into the room and then someone from my cousin's husband's family will be there to take them home. I have heard of some people having a babysitter in the bridal suite for them if you want to do that.

I had a 4 year old, 2 -6 year olds, and a 13 year old. The four year old was the RB and two 6 year olds walked down together and the 13 year old was a jrGM.

They all stayed throughout the Saturday evening reception and had a blast!
