My veil was kept in the bag the bridal salon gave me...it is completely crushed and mis-shaped! My dad is suggesting to steam it, but I don't think that's a great idea. Any suggestions? I am so glad a saw this now!

If you don't want to use an iron to steam it, hang it on a hanger and bring it in the bathroom in the morning when you take your shower. The steam generated should straighten (if not all the way, at least a little).

I don't think so because it is not direct (like putting it under running water) contact. The steam shouldn't saturate the veil with water.
