HELP?!?!

HELP?!?!

Hey Ladies-

I need your advice on what to do. I've been looking at dresses for the past month and have tried on at least 50. I've tried on the same dress at four different stores and I absolutely love it. Here's the kicker- a fabulous friend from work has the same one and is getting married this August. I just realized this!!!!!! She said it wouldn't bother her if I bought the same one. But it does bother me.... What should I do, buy it cuz I love it, or keep looking?

I appreciate any of your comments. TIA!

Buy it because you love it! Dresses look totaly different on different people. It's not like you are family members that you will be having so many of the same people at both weddings. And even if you have a few people from work, are they really going to notice, or even care that you had the same dress? The weddings are far apart.

Thank goodness they are 8 months apart, and there will be 8-10 people invited to both wedding that might notice.

This is really a tough one. Are there going to be any people that will be at both weddings? Honestly, if it were me, I don't think I would buy it. I think I would always be thinking about that aspect of it and would never truly feel like my dress was unique and 'all mine'. But if you think you could be fine with it then go for it.

i say go for it who cares ... some one some wehre is most likely going to have any dress you buy ... unless of course you get it custom made ... no one is most likely going to notice its the same exact dress!!!

So what. I had a similar dilema when I found out that my FSIL who is getting married this March is doing a purple theme. I have always wanted a Purple wedding, and didn't know what to do. Because we have most of the same people coming to both of our weddings, I decided to do a darker shade of purple than she did, but I did what I wanted. I don't care if anyone has anything to say about it!

since there wont be that many people at both weddings i say go for it anyway. its what you love! Plus it may look different on the both of you.

if it is THE ONE...just go for it. she already said she dosnt mind which is really cool of her and yes, they are so far apart, i doubt that anyone will notice...i'm sure i wouldnt.

BUY IT. Your weddings are almost a year apart, and the only people who will be at both will be co-workers, and they will not remember. If it was your cousin, and your whole family would be at the first wedding, and have pics of her wearing it hung up in their houses, that's one thing. But this? Just a coincidence that no one but you and her will even realize.

It's your dress. You've tried on enough to know that for sure. BUY IT and enjoy!!!

I think you should get it if you really love it. Eight people isn't a lot of people...and I'm sure they aren't going to remember what your co-worker wore to her wedding 8 months prior. They will just remember a white dress!!!

ANG, I knew you would post . Listen, you need to do what you want. This is your wedding too. If you love the dress then get it. You don't come across 'the one' too often. Knowone should deter someone from getting something they want, especially me. You need to feel comfortable and that's all that matters. If it wasn't you it would have been someone else. Most girIs have multiple dress twins. I don't think anyone would realize it but me and you. Dresses look different on everyone. As long as your happy then that's all that matters. As I told you, I don't mind! Good Luck with whatever you choose!

I totally agree - definitely buy the dress if you love it and it's 'the one'
