Help!

07 Brides I am newbie! I am getting married on Aug 26 and I have a gown dilemma........ I bought my gown at Macy's of Manhasset in January. It will not be here until May 28. Since then I went back to try the dress on (in the wrong size )again and changed my mind. I don't know what to do! Has anybody had this happen to them?

Re: Help!

why don't you like it anymore? was there something that you don't like about the dress or did you find another dress that you loved. just remember why you fell in love with your dress in the first place

also you didnt try the dress on in your size..once you try in a dress in your own size and its altered to your body and height...it will fit you like a glove..plus keep in mind when your done up with the make up, hair , veil and tiara you will love it

alot of brides are always indecisive about wedding gowns...

Re: Help!

why, exactly don't you like it anymore?
I went through the same thing with mine.....there were a lot of tears involved.
I got my dress, had it made for me, and then 2 months before my wedding found another dress of my dreams that I liked better. I saw it in a magazine and was heartbroken....I had to have this dress!
I called the place that sold it, scheduled an appt., and didn't go for the appt.........
The dress I wore (my original) for the wedding turned out to be the most beautiful dress.....ever.

THis happens to a lot of people....what exactly do you dislike?

Can you afford to get a new one?

What did you like about this one the first time that you saw it/tried it on?? You must have loved it then, right?

Re: Help!

Hey thanks for listening.... I called the store that has my gown and the only thing the store will do for me is keep my deposit and the dress. But I won't have to pay the remaining balance. Only problem is I can't afford to loose the deposit.

The reason I changed my mind was when I looked at myself in that dress I thought I looked elegant. But when I went back it didn't look like that. Usually I am really good about my style but I guess it is what it is.

Re: Help!

Welcome!!! It is hard to judge the wrong size dress. There was a dress I really liked but they didn't have it in my size and it was mermaidish so you really couldn't tell how it would look. God's plan I say, cause now I have the perfect dress. I would wait till it comes in try it on with a veil and see how it goes. Good Luck!
