I didnt' read all the responses so sorry if this is a repeat but...

Westbury Manor is decorated beautifully for Christmas. I am not sure where you are looking or how many people but I do recommend this.

I would think (never been during that time) but Milleridge would be beautiful too.

I had a hard time finding a RH too for different reasons. don't worry you will find it -- it took us about 13 viewings, at least 20 phone calls and we have been to countless weddings on LI that helped us narrow some down.

Don't worry you will find the right place.

Don't forget Russo's on The Bay in Howard Beach. They decorate beautifully both inside and out. I passed there last year at Christmas time before our son's wedding and they even had lights on the trees in front. Plus you CANNOT BEAT THE SERVICE..it is top notch all the way. The dinner and cocktail hour was amazing and the cake was beautiful and oh soo good!
I almost forgot they can accomodate a big crowd.

I highly second Russo's on the Bay...not just because I am having my wedding there but from what the quote above says..lol

Also try New Hyde Park Inn and Terrace on the Park offhand are the ones that I can think of.
