i went to one about 2 weeks ago with my mom.. it was a bridal expo at one of the hotels around here.. they have a whole bunch of stands, mostly invitations, photographers, limos, djs, they had a fashion show and also makeup artists there. its a good place to get a start to see what style of things you want.. its also good because the photographers bring a bunch of sample albums and youre able to talk to them about pricing.. so you can get a lot of prices for a lot of different things at one place.. i think theres going to be one in january at the mariott i believe?? youd have to check newsday.
I pretty much know what I want and who I want so I haven't gone to one and I am not sure if I will. Good luck!!!
I went to one at the Marriot in Uniondale and I found it very overwhelming. It felt like everyone was coming at me trying to sell me stuff and I really didn't like that. However I went to one a an RH and it was a million times better! HTH

I went to one last year with a friend and found it to be a complete waste of time for her - I wasn't engaged yet so I couldn't say from a brides perspective but my friend got nothing accomplished at the expo
I only went to my RH's - doubt I'll go to any others. I've been to some before... VERY crowded. You leave more stressed out than feeling like you've accomplished anything.
