Time line: 2 months ago RD not planned yet but, generally it's the evening before the wedding. My MOH informs me that on the evening before my wedding she is sponsering her friend's daughter @ confirmation in New Jersey. She was asked months ago and she just found out the date. She was hinting around that I do it the weeknd before the wedding. I told her that I would try to accomidate everyone b/c it wouldn't be the same w/o her. The dilema I have is that almost 1/2 of our BP is from OOT. They just finalized their plans and they will be arriving a few days before the wedding so if I did it the week before 5 out of the 10 would be missing. If I left those guys out and had it the week before just so she can be there, I'm inconveincing the couples who have already booked their rooms at the hotel for the night of the rehearsal dinner and I feel it's disrespectul to the others in the BP who won't be there.
FH and I discussed it and we booked the restaurant for the evening before and now I just have to break the news to her. Any suggestions? She is going to be upset.

Re: HELP!
I think she will understand that majority rules in this case unfortunately...of course you feel bad but with a lot of OOT it isn't possible to do it the week before...Im sure she'll understand

I did think of that but, some guests of the RD already booked the hotel for Thurs night. (the wedding is on Friday).

I think you just have to be honest with her. She agreed to do this other thing without confirming the dates and now she's stuck. I don't think you can drive your entire RD and move around the schedules of the rest of your OOT bridal party for one person, MOH or not. I know that's harsh, but she'll understand.

Re: HELP!
Is there any way that she can make it to the end of the RD? If not, maybe you could spend some time with her the morning of the RD. You two can go out for breakfast.

Re: HELP!
I think that's a great idea! You can't ask all those OOT guests to come in earlier and pay another night for the hotel. I say you break the news to your MOH but try to plan something special with just her. She will have to understand...

Re: HELP!
The rehearsal is generally the night before and that is the normal thing so your MOH should understand. Besides the important thing is that she is at the wedding not the rehearsal, the rehearsal is to rehearse and thank you bridal party, as the others said you can thank her on a special day with just her. I am sure it will work out!

Re: HELP!
Is there any way to do the actual rehearsal earlier, so she can do that and then the confirmation? Then the dinner can stay set and she can be there. If not, I'm afraid I'd have to exclude her from the RD, there are too many other people (namely you and your FH!!!) who would be inconvenienced!!

Re: HELP!
I would do it without her. She should understand because she committed to being your MOH and now has other things to do so close to your wedding - so now she has to make the choice. She will understand ... as long as she is there for the wedding, she will be okay with it
