Now thinking din and a karokee bar....

Know any good ones? And what would you do for transportation???

Is this stupid...What are other ideas on the island? Besides spas (not into that) or strip clubs (not into either)

Ugh, i'm starting to stress over this and actually at the point I dont want one because im so annoyed that everyone is saying $150 is alot, meanwhile I thought that was great!!

I dont know if its your style, but I have heard of places that will do Tea Parties for bachelorette parties, or have a wine and chocolate tasting party at someones home

Re: Help!

why dont you go to dinner somewhere inexpensive like magia e bevi, they cater to bachelorette parties. And then just go bar hopping. Pick an area with lots of bars and trust me you'll have ALOT of fun. If youre with a good crowd you will all have fun together. This way nobody HAS to spend a certain amount, they'll spend whatever they can. If theyre out at a bar then they'll only spend what they can on drinks.

ALot of ppl feel more comfortable doing this rather than someone being told a certain amount they HAVE to pay.

Re: Help!

my sister was going to plan it, but she's insanely stressed. Between my mother passing (she hasnt been getting any better) and she just had a baby...I figured I would do this.

Plus my shower was last week and she had major issues with a bm. Girl tried to skip out without paying and constantly had comments to my sister non stop. the other bm's finally yelled at the one girl and said enough is enough.

I like the bar idea---

I'm trying to find a nice restaurant in suffolk and k. bar..

Tough one....
I'm almost at the point that I dont want to have a b party and just go to din with my sister and aunts.

I dont understand how some bm's could be so mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry you are going through this. I think it's pretty rude of them. They should realize you would do the same thing for them when it's their turn. We has similar issues with my sisters wedding...no one had money...people were complaining. It's frustrating. But one of your Bms should step up and plan this frr you!

Re: Help!

Did the 80's Prom thing and wasn't that fun.. You're not missing out. $150.00 isn't too much either. Bridesmaids know going into this they are going to spend money.

I went to a b party this summer and there was a group of gils dressed to party and they were all wearing the same black bob wig. It was like a theme. They were drinking and having a great time. I thought that was a really cute idea, they looked really good and were getting a lot of attention.

You can also get a hotel suite and have an old fashion girls night out slumber party.... just make sure the hotel knows to keep you're room away from other guests. The marriot on 110 is really good. They have kichenettes and it's right ascross from Crazy Donkey.

Aww the slumber party idea is so cute. I love it. I think I'm gonna do the spa thing and then possibly stay overnight at a hotel somewhere.. IDK though.. it's all up to my sister and bms

Re: Help!

i WISH you were one of my friends.

one girl had her bachelorette party in vegas. it took me months to bounce back from that....and the engagement fell through.

then another friend wanted it in vegas too (4 months later). but i think we talked her into switching to Atlantic City. as much as we love her we are BROKE.

i dont think $150 is too much. BUT to each his own.

I am sorry you are in this situation and your BM's refuse to spend money for what you want to do. You could try something different like that DJ Chef guy, not sure how much he costs, or a psychic party, or just a night out at a local bar/lounge/club w/ the girls. But if you just want to be with your sister and aunts at this point i say go for it. you will still enjoy yourself! GL and keep us posted on what happens.
