I Know a lot of companies do the Christmas in July thing. But for the most part, it's apublicity stunt. Magazines have a long lead time, so to get products etc in the Dec magazine, you need to give the press the info in the summer. Anyway, that's my little bit of education. :) That being said, I dont know if it will work as nicely for a wedding. yes, it's your wedding and you can do whatever you want, but guests might be a bit thrown off. Could you just do a more wintery color scheme...like ice blue or something...without going overboard on the winter aspect? Just my suggestion. But like you said, it's your wedding, so you really can do whatever you want.

Re: Help
Its definitely your wedding, your way...but it'd be a little silly in my opinion. Don't mean to be rude, sorry if it comes off that way!

Re: Help
Idk I dont want to move my date! I wanted a beach wedding theme and he wants a winter wonderland theme! Idk if maybe theres a middle ground?? Or if we could just look up diff themes and see if one would better suit us! But the only thing is he wants a chocolate cake(which is fine by me) and I really want the color pink(which is my favorite color)! Idk I think I just might lose my mind.

Ask him what he likes most about the winter wonderland theme and try to incorporate it in subtle ways. Or maybe do a winter wonderland themed rehearsal dinner to keep him quiet. LOL. I think the beach theme is much more suitable for July...and since you are the bride...you should get your way! : )

I would consider an ice blue color scheme. It could go either way...beachy or wintery.
FH has been arguing with me over my color scheme. he HATES brown. But I finally told him that dont care. The bottom line is...this wedding is something I have dreamed of all my life. And he never even thought he would get married until he met me...so I win. 10 yrs rom now he wont care what color the girls' wore. But if I dont get my way, I willalways regret it. LOL

I want FH involved...just not really involving him in the details. I really wanted him to love the RH...and thankfully we both loved the same one. I also wanted him involved in the music and phtoographer...and again...we both loved the same one. Flowers, colors, favors etc...I'll keep him in the loop...but I'm picking this stuff on my own.
Good luck!!

Re: Help
I was going to suggest wintery things like mulled wine and having holiday ornament themed favors (also not sure what holiday you celebrate). The mulled wine thing wouldn't really work in July, but if he wants a bit of a winter wonderland in there, you could always try to throw in that theme with your favor? I imagine snowflake ornaments or something... again, depends on your seasonal holiday though.
You could also do an all white and silver theme, but that would ruin your hopes of pink

Re: Help
do you necessarily have to have a theme? like a previous poster said, maybe you could incorporate elements of the wintery aspect that would transfer to the summer..a bride here just posted a beautiful bok that could look kind of wintery i think..
look on the brides review for the may 9th wedding..i cant get the pic to post bc im at work..

Re: Help
IMO...i dont think you should do a winter wonderland theme in july..i mean its your wedding and its whatever you and ur FH want but you have to think of it this way....your whole RH is gunna be a winter theme and its gunna look like its in the winter butt all of your guests are gunna be wearing summer dresses with the bright summer colors and i think that might look alil silly just my opinion tho

Re: Help
I think you can have a winter wonderland-ish theme and include pink. Subtle light pink would go great with whites and silvers. I agree with some previous posts... you can border on winter wonderland without actually have it because that may be a bit strange to some. You can use beautiful winter wonderland colors and lots of shimmer and glitter.
