HELP!

My friend just found out she is 8 weeks pregnant!! She just got engaged for her birthday 3 weeks ago.
But now she is coming to me to help her plan a wedding by January!
I'm excited for this opportunity because it will help me see what I'll have to go through to plan mine!
But I'm nervous too cuz that is sooooo little time!

If anyone has any suggestions of where to start or what to do first please HELP!

I would first try and have her get together a guest list so you can see how many people you need to accomodate. After that, start searching for RHs that fit in their budget.

I would think you might not have such hard time finding everything else like florst, photohgrapher and dj because January is off season and there is a less chance that everyone is booked up.

It's actually really fun planning on a short schedule (we did ours in 6 months). Lots of people will cut you great deals the closer you get since they realize they won't book anyone else between now and then.

Major thing is to get the place (and the guest list) ready. Might want to order invites asap too. You can put together a wedding website easily and send out email or facebook save the dates (I honestly just called everyone I really cared about having at our wedding to tell them on the phone to STD).

Once you have the place, everything else can fall into place easily!

after I get out of work tomorrow I am going to her house to start getting a crack on things.

We are also going to Bosco's Bridal Expo @ Antun's on September 22nd so maybe she can get alot of stuff booked there too.

Just a tip: After the guest list is done, take 25% off the top to determine her mininum...to account for the 'no' responses Also, the most important vendor to most girls is the photographer, because they are in charge of your memories...she might want to look for this vendor first!

i would def start getting a list together of about how many pople..then try to narrow down what she wants..on the beach?modern look?country club?

then start visiting places asap..u will prob get a good deal....then i would go to photo since they can book up fast

whatever you do i would do it asap....also she might want to start looking at resses since they can take time to come in
