Re: Help!!!!
Well the current maid of honor is not my best friend at all. We are good friends but not best friends. She is FH best friend and at the time when I got engaged my best friend and I had a fall out. I Noting really happened we just kinda disconnected for a while. I didn't think we would be on great terms again but I guess I was wrong. Now we're back on happy and talking terms and I wanted to ask her to be part of my wedding. but to me it seems like an insult to ask her to be just a bridesmaid. We've been friends for over 25 years!!!! Ugh!!!! What to do????!!!!

Re: Help!!!!
If it's important to you to have your original friend involved, I'd have 2 MOH then. I don't think I could demote someone as MOH after asking them, unless there was a major fallout of some kind.

Your best friend shouldn't expect to be MOH and therefore shouldn't take it as an insult to be 'just' a BM.
However, if you talk to your current MOH and explain the situation she might understand (though I don't know her, some girls I know would be totally cool about it and others would take it the wrong way!)
So you really have to you figure out what's best based on both these girls personalities and what makes you happy since its your wedding.
I just hope you stay on good terms with everyone going forward because all the shuffling would make me dizzy!!

Re: Help!!!!
I would go with your gutt. If your gutt is telling you to have your best friend as your MOH then talk to your current MOH.
I do not think it is an insult to just be a BM. If I was in your situation I probably would keep the one I asked to be the MOH and your best friend that you had a falling out with as a BM. I would explain to your best friend why the decision was made, If she is really your best friend she will understand!
But bottom line.... Go with your gutt

ITA with this...and it's OK to have as many MOH as you want, it's your wedding :)

I dont really think you can demote someone unless you had a major falling out or something. I would either ask your bff to be a BM or have 2 MOH's and a matron of honor - ppl at the wedding rly dont care about their titles, only the girls do!

ITA!! Don't demote the other girl that's kind of harsh!! Plus having two MOH's is kind of cool!
