Help a wife surprise her husband.....

I want to go somewhere for a weekend for my husband's b-day in November.

Looking for something romantic but somewhere we can do things during the day and not too far maybe out east or connecticut. And if they have a spa it would be great

Any suggestions/ideas are welcomed....

I went to Newport, RI - took the ferry to New London and drove the hour from there to Newport. The town is beautiful! The mansions are stunning, the bar and night life is unending and there are so many Bed and Breakfasts, along with hotels that can accomodate your needs!

We did this as a mini-HM after our wedding.

You could go out east to the North Fork - Wine tasting out that way is lots of fun!

Block Island--my dad brought my mom there once and she LOVED it....just make sure you find a hotel where you are not sharing a bathroom...a lot of places are like B&B's..

Homespun Farm!!! The Pear Room! The Jacuzzi is HUGE and AMAZING!!! And it's close to Mystic, Foxwoods and Mohegun Sun! LOVE IT!!!

Niagara Falls. About 1 hour flight then 30 minute ride from Buffalo to the Falls. It's great!

I was going to say Newport RI also. We went for the weekend in April and it was beautiful. We stayed at the hotel on Goat Island (sorry cant think of the name Hyatt maybe). If you go.. you have to eat at the Red Parrot... they have EVERYTHING there. Their menu is about 15 pages =-) hehe

I was thinking the same thing, Newport is amazing...or you can go to the Vineyards on the North Fork...rent a limo or car and go wine tasting, then stay in a BB or there is a nice hotel in Greeport that has a spa ( I forget the name though)

Borgata in atlantic city. its not on the strip and is a new hotel and is amazing. food is great and they have entertainment there so depending on what music, comedy, etc you want to see you can get a show too. its a little expensive but you definitely will be happy with it,

try pearls inn in providence rhose island, its a very romantic high end Bed and brkfast...really nice suites

North Fork- I recomend Arbor View in East Marion. Wonderful B&b. owners are wonderful and you have your own bathroom. I got engaged there. It was very romantic and the wine can't be beat

Mohonk Mountain House upstate. It's beautiful there, there are tons of trails to go on, they have an indoor pool and spa, and the town of New Paltz is right there.

We love it there!
