I have heard horror stories about ADRIENNES but the owner called me this afternoon and she was sooooooo nice
i told her that we found the BM dress we want at Bridal Couture and wedding salon of manhasset for a certain price but would like to order it from her instead because it is more convenient and lately i have heard good things.
She is matching the price... i am so happy because we are getting the BM i love and for a great price
Has anyone had any experiences with Adriennes... GOOD OR BAD? Please i want to know honest opinions before i make a move What were they or what happened? Thank you so much

Re: HELP!!! ADRIENNES....please be honest....
Maryanne actually drove to my house with a dress one night because her seamstresses screwed it up so bad and I had a flight to catch with the dress that night. Also a wedding I was in she ordered the moh's dress way to small and they ordered extra material but the seamstress sucked at adding it and the dress looked miserable. The bride in that wedding actually had lipstick stains on her dress from the seamstress there as well.
I think it is a fairy tale place to get your dress but they are overpriced, and I don't trust there seamstresses at all. My hem was uneven, the seamstress didn't take in the dress properly because she figured I would gain weight over the years and would wear it again (when I just wanted her to make sure it fit for a ball)
I know the seamstress name if you want to know who to look out for, she was a client at my mom's old office.
But be careful because you can't choose what seamstresses you get you just get whoever is up next and then do follow ups with that women.
Also can the nigth Maryann drove out to my house she was over 2 hours late without calling because Bethpage was far for her to drive at night so she waited for her husband, which I thought was pretty lame she didn't even call especially since I made about 10 trips prior for fittings and still didn't have the dress.
Do a search you will find alot.

I am not telling you what to do, but this was my experience with their business.
My sister's wedding was this past weekend and we order the bridesmaid dresses there and the mother of the bride dress.
We went throught the same thing. I heard horror stories and warned my mom and sister but they forged ahead b.c everyone was very nice there.
For weeks they were telling us the dresses were there but not unpacked, then we found of the company never shipped them. FM for details about that!
Then, when the dresses finally arrived, out of the five bridesmaids, four had problems...
After two fittings, I picked up my dress, tried it on when I got home, again and the bustle was wrond, the lining was not fully attached and beading with completly off, not to mention the dress was barely pressed.
My mom's dress, after her third fitting, when she went to pick it up, was a disaster. THe seams were totally off and a lot of the beading was off and torn. How could they have bagged the dress, ready for pick up like that.
If you do choose to use them, be very careful!

I have had a problem with my dress from them too. The designer supposingly shipped the wrong dress. Good thing I went in February when they said it was in and it was completly wrong. They had to reorder it and I am still waiting and very nervous. The lady that helped me while I was there was very rude and not apoligetic at all a real b*t*h.. The 2nd girl I have been dealing with over the phone has been very nice. I am just hoping they get it right this time otherwise I don't know what I will do. Its suppose to be shipped out May 20th. I always heard good things about them too before I ordered my dress. Just be careful and stay on top of things. Good luck!

Re: HELP!!! ADRIENNES....please be honest....
they destroyed my prom dress (ok that was 12 years ago but I still remember how awful they were)
They told me I was fat (yes they did) when i tried on dresses. I lost 15 pounds by the time the dress came in. When they took it in - they forgot to put the bones back in the dress and it was falling down all night. they did a realyl bad job with alterations.

One of my co-workers told me she got her dress there...It came in late, and the seamstress messed it up so much she wound up taking it to a different place to have her alterations finished (the little place on Main Street in East Islip--they were very nice when I went there).

I got my wedding dress from there and had absolutely 0 problems. I also left the alterations 'till the last minute- like 2 weeks before the wedding and everything was perfect and on time.
we did, however, have problems with bridal couture of manhasset- where we got the BM dresses from- they were not accomadating to the BMs at all in terms of scheduling appointments for alterations and a few girls had to have their alterations done over (so girls using them allow a lot of time for alterations).... .. and this happened with my BMs and when I was a BM in my friend's wedding and we bought the dresses there.

i think the people that work in the bridal industry suck b/c when i was trying on dresses at Bridal Couture of Manhasset the woman said, 'this will look really good when you lose weight'.. um- who said i was going to lose weight- needless to say I didn't buy from them... AND also i forgot- they tried to put a corset bra thing on me 2 sizes too small to smoosh me in- i was like, 'no thanks, i'd just like to wear my regular size'

Thanks ladies... anything else is appreciated... wow i don't know what i am doing but.....i have heard worse about bridal couture and wedding salon of manhasset
it seems like many of the problems are with the BM dress alterations not the wedding dresses

I don't want to say anything negative - I'm sure they generally do a good job - but I would definitely try Bridal Reflections.

Re: HELP!!! ADRIENNES....please be honest....
Just be sure to follow up and be VERY specific w/ the seamstresses - The gowns for my cousins wedding were beautiful and the seamstress did a great job - But only after his fiancee got on her case about EXACTLY what she expected. -
