I fell in love with a dress at Macys Bridal but I found the dress $500 cheaper at another store. I put a $100 deposit down ... do you think I would be able to get it back? Should I call or write a letter requesting a refund?
why don't you try telling them you found it cheaper somewhere else...maybe they'll match it? and if they don't ask for your money back
I agree. I bought my dress at Macy's but didn't put down a deposit. I paid half of the dress to place the order. I know when I ordered it, I had to sign a form that says No Returns. Good Luck.
Ok so I called and they said that they do match prices BUT I need to get proof. How do I do that? lol Im going to the other salon on Tuesday with my cousin but how do I get 'proof'?
I got my dress from macy's...when I ordered it I told them that I had seen it cheaper at another place. They just called the other place then and there and confimred the price and matched it.
I wouldn't put the money down. I know someone who had the same situation and they wouldn't give her the deposit back. I would just order it somewhere else.

ask them if they can write it down for you, that you want to show it to your mom but she lives out of state and you want to be able to send her something tangible because she likes to see things written down

I got mine at Macys and they matched the price I saw elsewhere. I believe I showed them the business card the wrote the price down on for me. Good luck, I had a great experience with Macy's!!
