I started this job 2 months ago, also relocated for this job. I just find out that I may lose my job because the office will be closing.
Do I have any legal rights? They verbally told me that if anything happened, it would not happen for at least 1+year. Now all of a sudden its 1 month.
Any advice.

Re: HELP? Any employment lawyers???
Not an employment lawyer, so this is not meant to be legal advice, but in NYS all employees, unless there is a written contract, are 'at will' employees meaning that they can be terminated at any time without the employer owing any severance.
The only recourse you might have is if they made any specific representations regarding the length of your employement (not limited by things like 'depending on our sucess' or 'if the office stays open,' etc.). In that case you might be able to argue that you relied on these representations and could seek compensatory damages. These would be a very tenous claim though. Absent something very specific and unqualified, you probably don't have much of a claim. Sorry.
As always, you could (and should) consult any employment attorney for free.
Good luck! Hopefully your position will remain and it won't be an issue!
