My FH and I had our pastor all set and then something happened and now it doesn't look like he'll be able to do it. We feel really strongly that we don't want just some guy to do it, so we were going to ask a friend of ours who goes to our church and who we are really close to. Does anyone know what we have to do to make sure our marriage is legal?!!!

We had a similar issue and my FSIL is doing ours...she just got ordained on-line......i still have to double-check the and make sure it will all be legal w/ NYS..but we figure worse case senario we would hire a Judge to make it legal...and still have her perform the 'ceremony'...she lives in VA so I don't have all the info but when I know more I'll let ya know!

My FH's youth pastor, who he still remains to talk to, is marrying us. He lives in Michigan so we don't really have too much contact and it is getting frustrating trying to figure out all of the deatils!!!
