Ok, ladies. I really need your advice/help. FH and I just realized that we get engagement pics with our package. Needless to say, we want to take them soon, since our wedding is in Jan! We have the option of taking our pics on the following days: 9/25, 10/15, 10/22. Our photographer suggested the Oakdale Arboretum in Oakdale or Aboretum in Oyster Bay. Which is better? When do you think is a god time to take the pics of these dates? I have to give him a reply tomorrow so any advice is appreciated.

I would go with the one in Oakdale. I've seen pictures taken there and they were beautiful. You really can't go wrong with that place!
I have pictures in my album. No permit needed. $6 a car.

I would take the pics as late as possible if you want the leaves changing.
Last October I went to Oakdale to see what the place would look like the weekend of my wedding (so we could take our pics there). The flowers were sill blooming and everything was green still. It was beautiful just not very fall like.

My vote goes to Oakdale, I had my photos taken there, it was nice having the flowers and paths as well as the lake.
There was no fee to take pictures in the park, nor was there a parking fee. I believe it's only if you want to go through the Aboretum.
Sorry, I don't have any info about the Oyster Bay location.
