#1. my guy doesn't have reviews or office because he's starting his own thing, but the communication gives me reassurance. i loved his work, and because he has no overhead, his prices were amazing. i felt really comfortable with him.
ask him for references if this makes you feel better.
what is the person's name, if you don't mind asking?
#2 does not work because of the communication, the pressureand the fact that you haven't even met your photographer. meeting them is key because you need to vibe and feel comfortable with them.

thanks for all the feedback...you guys rock... more more more!
i'd say #2 -- you don't want to take your chances on a photog that you can't find anything about! if you haven't met your photographer for #2 how do you know you will have a language barrier with them? I think i know the company you're talking about and the photographers (at least in my experience with 2 of them) have lesser accents than the people in the studios. Maybe tell them that you don't want to book without meeting your photog and they can set up an appointment for you

Re: HELP!!!! ASAP!!
I wouldn't feel comfortable booking someone who I can't find any reviews about. I would come out and just ask on here about the specific photographers.

I would go with 2 i mean i dont like that the photographer doesnt have reviews. Try to google to your best ability. I mean he may be ultra nice bec he doesnt get business so you should be careful!

Re: HELP!!!! ASAP!!
Gut reaction...#1. I'm HUGE on reviews, but it also sounds like #2 is lacking a bit in pure character. He/she can't guarantee the price for more than a few days??? Come on. There's absolutely no reason for that. Not like the camera equipment is more expensive one day and less the next. If you like the photos on #1's website, do it. And google, google, google!

Lang really is important....you want to understand what they are saying....I used Duet and well with all the awesome reviews I must say if I was to do it over I would have used someone diff...When we booked all was well....we understood the man we booked w but the day of....not so much. I had to go up to them a # of times and still didnt get what they asked....gets very annoying esp on your wedding day... I say go w #1 but Id also try and look at a few more just to see if any others compare

Re: HELP!!!! ASAP!!
you seem more comfortable with #1. but the no reviews and no studio would make me a little iffy. on the other side #2 has a videographer and a different person than the one you met with will be shooting you, so maybe there won't be a language barrier there.
I am really torn just by what you are saying. but if prices are comparable, I would probably go with #2 because you don't want to get burned in the end with #1 going under or something. (but i am still torn lol.... b/c you seemed to be os much more comfortable with #2..) god I am no help! lol
