Help!! Before I drive myself nuts....need opinions
I have everything ready to go with the BM dresses pretty much, they just have not been ordered yet because of 2 BMs that just gave birth, so the dress shop said to wait a few weeks then take the measurements.
Now I am reconsidering the color of the BM dresses. I keep looking at the bordeaux chiffon on the website and it looks so bright, not what I really want. I am now leaning towards black, but fearing my BMs may kill me for changing my mind yet again.
Also I saw another dress that they might all agree on.
Should I pose the question to them to change the color from bordeaux to black? Should I even bring up the other dress to them? Or should I just leave it as is? This keeps nagging me the closer it gets to crunch time!!
Pics 1 & 2 are the dresses they currently have on order (2 on 1 dress, and 2 in the other) Pic 3 is the color bordeaux in chiffon which is what I have now Pic 4 is the other dress I was thinking of

I like the original dress you picked out better than the last one. As far as color, maybe you should think of what kind of theme you want and go from there. I like black and I like the bordeaux. Black is very flattering on everyone though.

definitely keep the original 2 dresses, I however would do black as the girs will get more use out of them

Stick with the first two dresses in the bordeaux color - it's not bright at all in 'person.'
I am honestly not a fan of the 'new' dress idea - the asymmetrical strap is not very forgiving on all body types either.

Janna, I agrre with Christine! I like the first dresses and the last dress my not be flattering on all girls. Although, I do think that they will get more use out of a black dress. I am sorry...I guess I was no help!!

I like the first 2 dresses... As for the color... I love black, but you need to go with what you really want, or you won't be happy.

I like the first 2 dresses also and I do like the bordeaux color. I agree that the first 2 dresses are also probably better for more body types.

I was in a friends wedding in June and we wore the dress is PICTURE 4 and can i tell you... i hated it! The material makes you look bigger than you are and for us skinny girls... it made us look fat. But the girls that were on the heavier side, it actually minimized their bodies. Dont' ask why that happened... but my dress definitely went in the garbage and for $300 dollars... that was upsetting.

Janna, I love the first 2 dresses. Not big on the last one. Black is always beautiful but the color you ordered is beautiful too. Can you still change the dress color? I like both colors but you have to go w/your heart

i like the first 2 best...and i love black very falttering i agree that they can wear it agian.....have you seen the bordeaux in person???? alot of times the computer is off on color

Pics 1 and 2 were on my short list and I love them! (My MOH, who is my whole BP ended up picking out a Mori Lee dress). I tried on the black one myself and it is beautiful. The back is stunning!
I found with Jim Hjelm that the colors on the website are totally off. The bordeaux color is not as bright red in real life. I got swatches from a store here in Seattle (they are teeny, and since we got different dresses, I could mail them to you if you want, and if I can find them, or you could fly out here and get some yourself! Ha ha). I have also had luck getting swatches directly from the companies by calling or emailing.
ETA: I originally wanted to go with black because I thought that the dress would be more useful, etc. Plus, I love black and every dress I own other than my wedding gown is black. I wished that all the BM dresses I have had to wear were black. My MOH wanted bordeaux (actually, it is called Claret by Mori Lee), so that's what she got. And, it nicely matched the red of our invitations, which was good!
My point is that your BP might like the bordeaux over the black, anyway. Sorry for the rambling. And I just have to say again that I LOVE the first 2 dresses.

I prefer your original choice of dresses. I am not a fan of asymetrical lines on dresses. As for color choice, bordeaux is also my color choice, albeit a much darker shade for my fall wedding. IMHO, bright is good for April, and there is no need to second guess yourself. You picked those dresses for a reason, and you picked the color for a reason. Whatever it was, it is still a valid reason - stick with it!!

I have the 2nd dress in bordeaux and it is GORGEOUS! I am wearing it in my friend's wedding in a couple of weeks. The BMs are all wearing the 2nd one and the noh is wearing the 1st one...all in bordeaux. And it is not bright, it is deep...not at all like that picture.
