HELP candy buffet question!!!

ok maybe u girls can help me out with this....

i want to do a candy buffet for our E-party favors. including kids, there will be no more than 100 ppl. ok so i'm getting little chinese take out containers, normal pint size. my question is: how many lbs of candy should i get? i dont wanna go CRAZY with buying too much/spending too much! ppl arent going to fill the 16oz containers to the TOP right? plus, i'm getting things that are chunky too, like salt water taffy...they take up room in the container.....

I think I read somewhere that you should have 1/4-1/3 lb of candy per person. So figure 25 lbs? I would also take that takeout container to a candy store and fill it with what you're thinking of getting, then see how much that weighs.
