Help... Carlyle or Land's End....

Help... Carlyle or Land's End....

I truly love the Carlyle.. the ballroom is amazing- a little worried that the cocktail room is too small.

FH really loves Lands End- the view is amazing. Cocktail room is very nice but I am really not crazy about the ballroom and the way it is set up. My sister was married at Flowerfield so we know the food is good.

Do you have any suggestions in favor or against either place???

Thank you!!

I have only heard amazing things about both places but I haven't been to either of them.

Which one is closer to your ceremony location?

We are looking at evening and I live in between both.

Honestly, Lands End is a bit out there. I live in Northport and we have a lot of family from the city but it is beautiful. I just wasn't crazy about the table set up of the main ballroom- or the Carlyle cocktail room. (my dad is very worried about the cocktail room there)

both are beautiful but the food at Land's End is out of this world I think it is the best on Long Island as far as food and service go. Good Luck.

of course, you know I have to vote the Carlyle.... I still don't see how you'll have a problem in the Cocktail Hour Room- we didn't at all.

Another biased vote for Carlyle... you can always go outdoors for the cocktail hour.

Actually come to think of it.... are you sure you are not confusing the cocktail hour room with the after-hours room. The cocktail room actually opens up into the ballroom and runs the entire span of it.

Carlyle!
You can use the patio for the coctail hour too!

Sassyz75... I know... my parents were at a wedding there about 2 years ago and all my dad remembers wa how crowed the cocktail hour was.

Thanks!

Where will the ceremony be? Def. take into consideration the distance between the ceremony and reception.

If you are going to have the ceremony on-site, I like the water view of Lands End.

But overall, I vote for Carlyle.

Lands End is amazing! I know if you choose it, it will be a great wedding!

You know my vote. If you do plan to have the ceremony on site, Carlyle's indoor option is great. The room is lovely and it doesn't have to be reset like other places.

The ceremony will be off site.... at our church in East Northport.

Carlyle!!!! We are planning to get as many people outside for the cocktail hour as possible (if weather permits) but I have peaked around during a wedding there once in the winter ( ) where everyone was in the cocktail room and it looked like it was working out just fine. There were tables set in the hallway as well (which they set very nicely with votives etc.) and there were people lingering about. They can always open up the cigar lounge room as well (sometimes they put the potato bar in there) if you really want more space.

I haven't been to weddings at either, but I did go to Land's End for New Year's Eve twice, and I have to say they did a fabulous job...but I have only heard good things about both places so you can't go wrong! Good Luck!
