the mother of my flower girls sent me a photo of their dresses....with them in it. It totally clashes from my dress!!!! My dress is IVORY....their dress was ordered in IVORY.....but it looks very white. We will clash! They are different fabrics, from different companies. I had my dress custom made. Please look in my album under the 'dresses' folder. What should I do? Is it going to look terrible? Perhaps when mingled with the BM dresses and black tuxes, it will be ok? Please advise!

I don't think it will clash. I think it is better that your dress is different it makes you stand out. I'm ordering a white dress for my girls a darker blue flower print than the color blue that my bridesmaids are wearing. I thought that would break up the solid tones of color.

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but I think it will be fine. Plus, the brown sash ties everything together nicely.

Re: help! Clashing dresses?
It's a risk you take with an ivory dress. Mine's ivory too, and I'm worried that my cream roses will be too light! To be safe--and because I liked having a color better--my flowergirl is in pale yellow, not ivory.
However, I think once they're all mixed together it will look good. As someone said, you have the brown sashes to tie it all together. The more I see mixed bridal parties in magazines the more I realize that it's silly to get too crazy about everything being totally matchy, that it acutally looks better and more modern to have the bridal party colors and styles a little different.
BTW, I LOVE your gown.

Ok - I just looked at your album and I don't think it's that bad. It may not be exactly the same, but how often are you and the FG going to be side-by-side during the wedding?
It's very annoying to have someting go not-as-planned but I think the styles are so different no one will notice. I barely could and I was flipping between one picture and the next!

I have to be honest and say that I think the FG dress is much lighter than yours. But in any event, she won't be walking down the aisle with you, and besides that there are soooooooo many different color Ivory's. Some are more yellow, and some more white than others. I think it'll be fine. The brown BM dresses will even everything out. Thats JMO. Don't stress yourself.

I have the same problem also ~ I had plans to go with my FG & there mom this weekend to go looking for there dresses ~ she called me the weekend before and the FG's mother informed me that she already purchased two dresses that totally doesnt go...! I am in the same predicament with the ivory color difference ~ part of me wants to tell her to return them... Have you seen these dresses in person? In the picture on the computer the FG dresses do look more on the white side & your dress is a true ivory! but computers also distort the picture.... if you have not seen them in person I would wait to see them in person first ~ it might be ok! Good Luck!

My wedding is in 3 weeks. My flower girls are in Seattle, and Madison, WI. THere is no way for me to see the dress until that day. I've decided that it's going to be fine. WHen I think of the thousands of weddings I've been to......I don't even remember if there were flower girls. People are focused on the bride, the groom, the food, and the music. Not much else.

Exactly! I also think back about the weddings Ive been to and I hardly remember anything...dont remember the cake, the food, the FG, RB...nothing....all I remember is the bride and groom...(and briefly)..so dont worry..no one will notice

I don't think you'll have any problems. The flower girl's pic looks like there is a lot of light in the room, and your pic, looks like a darker setting, so in a similar setting you should be fine. The flowers and BM dresses will tie you all together. PS-I LOVE your dress!
