I am close with both my dad and my step-dad (he's been my step dad for almost 20 years!). My dad and mom are walking me down the aisle and my cousins are walking my step-dad down.
I want to have a dance with each of them - probably my dad earlier in the evening and my step-dad later. I want them both to be announced.
Do you think this is appropriate or too much?
Also - Do you think my dad will be hurt?
I guess I have to pick each song carefully!

I think it is great. My parents are divorced too and actually my real dad will not be attending my wedding. My mom will walk me down and I will dance with my step dad. I had a hard time trying to find a song b/c he wasn't around when I was growing up, and I know you don't want to hurt your dads feelings by having a father daughter song with your step dad. I picked out Kind and Generous from Natalie Merchant. It was the best thing for my step dad. You should listen to it and see if it fits your relationship. Good Luck

I would do both, I think its just fine, how can he be hurt, he will dance with you first, I think its a great idea, my dad passed away and i will be doing a 1/2 dance with each of my two brothers, they are also both giving me away.....

I think it would be fine to do both songs as long as the song you pick for your stepdad is appropriate.

My dad loves Barbara Streisand so as long as I can find a good song of hers I am sure he will be just fine!
The Natalie Merchant song was such a great suggestion for my step-dad! Its beautiful

I think it's a really nice idea to have the two dances, youre acknowledging both of them for the place they have in your life!! My father is passed but I am doing a dance w/ my step father. I chose to do a song that was kind of more generic and not really mushy, but this was just bc in my situation we don't have that kind of relationship (tho he is a great man!! i just havent known him for an incredibly long time).
Maybe you can just pick songs that represent the different kind of relationship you have w/ each of them?
Im using 'What a Wonderful World' Louis Armstrong for dancing w/ step dad.
