For our engagement party we did glass candle holders with candles. But for the wedding... FH and I aren’t doing favors, We decided to donate all the money we would have spent on favors plus a little extra to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 years ago, she is a survivor!!! So we thought it would be nice to do something like that since it was such a hard time in our lives and we got threw it. I don’t want my guest to go home without anything though. So we are doing place card picture frames. so i guess that’s kinda a favor LOL

I like them but i have to agree with the other girls, some people will not take them b/c they dont match their decor and they will get thrown out or put in a box to never be seen or used.
I say go with something easier to match, edible favors, coasters (which we did and everyone loved) bottle of wine, etc.

I like the peas but they are both cute! I think that is a wonderful favor! They are something guests can save and bring out for special occasion...or just use everyday! They are sweet..buy em!

i love the pears! and i'm on the practical side...i would SOO much rather a favor that I'm going to use, and that's going to remind me of the couple when i go to use it. I think it's adorable, and the pears are so freakin' cute...i also like how it says 'The perfect pair'...a play on words always makes people smile I like them..and the faces make them extra cute! and i think everyone will use s&p shakers..and when they get compliments on how cute they are they get to say they got them at ur wedding

FSIL used the coasters w/ a picture of the couple in one and a note saying 'thank you for making our day picture perfect' in the other coaster. It was cute.

I'm trying to figure out what to do for our favors too. a few favor websites I've checked: Wrap With Us Favor catalog
I agree that it's probably best to go with something people will actually use. Food itemas are a good idea. Scratch off lotto tickets are fun. Donations are always good too.

i picked neither just bc i can see them collecting dust in wayyy too many houses... no offense... i think coasters and bottle openers are way too common also... personally, i would stick with something edible!

I would also say favors that you can eat!!! They make cute personalized cookies, or small wine bottles, or a small box of chocolates.
Everyone has their own opinion of what is a nice favor. Some don't even like giving favors. I think the peas are cute, but I will also say that sometimes you can find cheap favors as these favor stores as well that look like a lot but don't cost too much. It all depends on your budget. If you are happy with your choice go with it. It is supposed to be just a gesture. That you are putting this much thought into counts for a lot a well.

I like the peas. I would use them and even if I dont use them I'd keep it on display. I personally don't like favors that you eat. I like to have something that I can keep and remember. Not to mention most of FH family is diabetic, it's hard to please everyone. I also like practical stuff, wine bottle openers, candle holders, and plants are always good. I say go with what your heart wants.

I don't like either because it's just not my taste. I am not into the cutesy things. But everyone is different. Do what you want. I haven't decided on my favors yet but I like soaps or the new godiva wedding cake. I will end up changing my mind a hundred times though. Good luck choosing!

I'm afraid I agree. My junk drawer is filled with similar items from well-meaning couples.
I tend to like the practical favors or edible ones. FTR, I gave out mint candies with a label I designed. You could do a donation, as other posts suggested. Or even skip them if you like.
