I booked my DOC last year because she had amazing prices (I'm only paying like $250 for her services) and I couldnt afford anything more. I've been emailing her and such but havent heard from her in awhile. I did a little research and asked around only to find that some ladies who used her on LIW had TERRIBLE experiences with her. I left her a $50 deposit and I doubt that I'll be able to get it back, not to mention, if I cancel with her, I'm out of a DOC and I cant afford anything more than what I was paying her. My FH says that we dont need one, but I'm VERY anxious about the wedding and have a major fear of things not being done right or things going wrong and I just cant be worried about those things on the wedding day -- I dont want to be a stressed bride. What shoudl I do???? Is anyone using a DOC that charges a similar price?

Try craigs list to get another DOC in that price range. I would def get rid of her. She is already stressing you out.

i am also a very anxious (controlling) bride, so thats why i decided not to have one. i figured even if i did have one, i'd redo everything she did or just do it myself. IMO its not necessary.

i have 2 of my friends helped me. they have coordinated others before so i asked them both. both were really good and very hands-on. it worked out great. i didn't paid them much. i gave them $60 gift card and some random stuffs from our honeymoon. It's not much but I know they felt glad that I asked.
Do you have any friends that you can't include in your wedding party but would like them to be part of it? You can ask them to help out. There are bunch of resources online.

unfortunately I cant have them helping out at the times I need them to, because they're in the BP. I wouldnt trust my other friends with those same responsibilities. I want all my friends and family to be able to fully enjoy the day without worrying about tasks they have to do....but i may HAVE to enlist their help.

I have heard the Bms at CLM are wonderful so you may not even need one..
but as with anythign if you feel it in your gut.. cancel the vendor... you will feel relieved... what about an 06 bride? i think there is one that is lookign to break into doc .. maybe she will help you free of charge knowing your sitch
but i do agree cancel and go with your gut

$250 for a DOC??? I dont know about that one-
But we are using Michelle Nocella as our DOC. She is a vendor on this site.

Trust me - Nick and the CLM crew are amazing. You do not need a DOC. My florist set up the flowers, my DJ set up by themselves, my photographers and videographers were with me and anything I wanted set up I left at CLM the night before explaining how I wanted it set up! It was perfect!! Id say dont worry about it.
