Help!! Does she have nerve or what!!???

Original post by DanaMZ

So a very close friend of mine (one of my BMs)...lives in FL and the other night I am talking to her on the phone and she starts off by saying 'I feel really bad asking you this, but...' and she proceeds to ask me if I could invite one of her friends (who I know, but only threw her) and this girl's date!!!

The reasoning she gave me was that even though she knows some of my other friends (she has known them since Jr. High, but is not that close to them), her and her BOYFRIEND (whom I've never met!) really like hanging out with the other girl and HER boyfriend!! W T H!!!

Who is this party for anyway????!!!!

To make matters worse she tells me she will pay! And would never usualy impose like this (and she really wouldn't - I think her boyfriend put her up to it)

That makes it worse bc she knows I would NEVER let her pay, but I felt like telling her how much it costs.

Oh, one VERY imortant detail is that I kinda made it sound like it wouldn't be a problem (because I was DUMBFOUNDED and didn't know what to say) And told her I just had to check our list and I get back to her.

What do I do?!!

She does have nerve to ask you.

But she is probably really excited about your wedding. You are having it at an beautiful place and since her friends are from FL, they might never have a chance to experience an amazing NY wedding.

tell her no. you want people you know at the wedding. it is a personal affair, not a party for anyone.

Tell her what I told anyone who asked me if they could be invited to the wedding (why do people do this???) - We are so limited with seats, that things are going to be tough - I need to discuss every invite with the entire family, and I'll get back to you - but no matter what the decsions is, I really would like you to be there....

Tell her - oh, you would love for her to feel comfortable, and will do everything you can, but YOU (the friend) know how tough these things get, and you are waiting to hear if great aunt matilda can make it - but if auntie can't make it, you'll let your friend know...

Has she ever been a BM before? You barely have enough time to see your date with everything going on....
