Help... DS won't eat table food!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aidan is 13 months old and his pedi said to start weening him off baby food. Well easier said then done. And I don't understand why?? If DH or I are eating something in the livingroom, DS will beg for food and when we give him a bite he eats no problem. But when it's mealtime he'll only eat a bite or two and the reat of the time he'll throw it,play with it, try to grab the plate and flip it ovr, etc. As soon as he see's the plate he cries until I put it in front of him but if I do he just plays with the food. I've tried many different foodseven things that he seemed to like at other times...he just won't eat it so I end up giving him baby food anyway. He also won't eat anything with noodles in it, no eggs or any other things. The few things he will eat are pancakes, freanch toast etc. but he can't have those things everyday. I want him to eat kinda healthy,or he also likes bread or toast but I need to get some protien into him. Help.. please give me suggestions, or at least tell me that this pickiness is a phase and that he won't still be eating babyfood when he's 2!!!

Molly is almost the same...except she won't eat the food at all. She will eat crackers, yogurt, apple sauce, blueberry muffins, some cereals like wheat chex/cheerios/bran flakes, graham crackers and wheat bread. Some eats cheese and waffles once in a blue moon. That is all.
I offer her real food all the time and she just throws it off the tray or refuses to touch it. I just give her different foods to try and hope that at some point she will like a few real foods. I try not to make a big deal about it. As long as she is eating something and not just junk I know she is fine.

My son is 12 months old and we are in the same boat...he will not eat real food either! I try and try but he loves baby food especially the jarred fruit not veggies. he loves those veggie wagon wheels though and his cookies, like the arrowroot and butter cookies, I wish i never gave him that stuff cause thats all he ever wants, with the few exceptions like pancakes, cold cereals, bread, bananas (once in a while) and pasta, other wise thats it!! I'm hoping he will surpass this pickiness soon! but he is off his bottle and drinking from a sippy cup, so I am proud of that! I wish he would eat better but I cant force him! I guess that's not any advice on the subject but I wish us both good luck on this matter

My son is 2 and he was EXACTLY the same at this age. But he is still REALLY picky with what table foods he will eat and I usually have to prepare a seperate meal for him then what we are eating. I cant for the life of me get him to eat any kind of meat besides the baby food kind!!! It drives me crazy!!!!
