Help!!! Either I am on drugs or I am seeing things.....OMG They're all over my pics!!!!

I just took a very good look at a proof that I had scanned into my computer and in the upper left corner and along the right side I swear I'm seeing what looks like cartoon characters. How the hell this could have been on this picture is beyond me, because NOTHING I have or ever scanned looks like the images I'm seeing.

Can someone please take a really good look and confirm that I am not crazy? I now have to look at the original proof to make sure it is not on there as well.......

Out of curiosity, how many of us are looking at these pics on laptops vs desktops? I looked last night on my laptop and could easily see the faces... now I’m looking from my PC and can’t see anything. I’m wondering if it is b/c my laptop has more of a ‘matte’ screen, and is LCD, and the desktop has a gloss finish.

Either way, it is definitely creepy… I wonder what it is.

It looks like residue on your scanner. Has someone been scanning something on your scanner? Sometimes the page leaves an impression on to the scanner, very faint but it shows up when the machine shoots a powerful light to scan. Depending on the ink on the printed page, it can transfer, like you know how newspaper ink transfers? Clean your scanner and try again and see if they are still there.

I faintly see white outlines but I can't make out what it is. Maybe it's just a reflection of the scanner's light onto the glossiness of the picture??

It's kinda spooky actually!

it sould be smudges directly on the scanner glass too...I would be a little freaked though, but I'm part sicilian...we read too much into everything

Not sure if this was addressed, but it's probably leftover cleaning solution on the scanner's screen that wasn't wiped properly. The cleaning solution leaves traces on the glass, and if it's wiped with a cloth that is A: dirty, or B: still has cleaning solution on it, the cleaning solution doesn't get wiped away properly. And if you close the scanner lid before it's fully dry, the solution will definitely remain.
