HELP! Entertain Guests after Wedding
I am getting married on July 4, 2003 and my wedding ends at 6pm in Smithtown. The out of town guests will be staying in Hauppauge and the Wyndham Wind Watch and my FI and I want to offer some suggestions to our guests of what to do after the wedding, since it ends so early. Please give me suggestions of where they can watch fireworks. I've been to Jones Beach once, but the traffic was so bad I don't think that I want to suggest that. Thanks for all of your help!

The only suggestion I can give you is ask the hotel. They might know where they can go. They might even have something planned for the golf course. I agree with you about Jones Beach I went one year & saw NOTHING!!! Good Luck!

Try Port Jeff - I believe there are fireworks in Mt. Sinai harbor. I'm getting married this coming July 5th - but our rehearsal is down in Port on the 4th. I'll let you know what I see!!!

Would it be possible...I'm not sure how much this would cost, but...to have a mini firework display of your own after the wedding? That might be a stretch, but it might be sufficient for the majority of your guests who will probably be too tired to really want to go out anywhere after the wedding.

Here's an idea
One year a whole bunch of us went on a party boat out of Freeport to watch the fireworks from Jones Beach. It was around $40pp and there was a DJ and bar. It was a great night! The cruise began before sunset and ended after the fireworks. I am sure you could find something like that in Port Jeff. You may even have enough people to rent your own boat.

Fonzi - question about your rehearsal dinner
I am getting married July 5, 2003, so my rehearsal dinner will be on July 4th as well. I have a ton of out of town guests who will be coming and I would love to know where you are having your rehearsal dinner and what your view is. I am leaning towards having a BBQ at whichever relative`s house has the best view, but am not sure! Please keep me posted! BeckyWelcome New Vendors
