Help...Essex house invite

Ladies--I need your help. We were invited to a SATURDAY night wedding at the Essex house. Anyone know how much per plate? I am afraid I will need a second job to attend this affair (p.s. black tie too!)

Agh...........I guess I would need to give at least $600 to cover our plates. I cannot afford that. What do you guys think for an in between number?????

I would assume that if someone chose to have an affair at a place that expensive, they would be able to afford it, so don't worry about 'covering your plate'

I personally don''t think I could give any one a gift of more than $300 no matter where they were having their wedding.

i personally wouldnt feel I need to give 'extra' because someone chose to have their affair at an extravagant location. Just as if I would not give less if someone could only afford to have their wedding in their backyard
