HELP!!! FFIL won't get professionally measured for his tux!!! **update** (with mini rave!)
I have not really had a lot of panic moments in this whole wedding planning process. For the most part, I'm enjoying it as much as possible. Yes, there's stress, but I let most of it roll off me...
Until this.
I got an email this morning from FMIL (mind you, she's a bit nutty) and it had the scanned form the tux guy had given me for OOTers (they live in NC). Apparently, they filled this out AT HOME!!!!!!! And mostly just estimated the measurements!
I'm just in shock. FH wants his father to be his best man, but he's going to look ridiculous in a tux that doesn't fit at all because he's too embarassed to go get measured somewhere! The man is almost 49 years old -- just do it!
Fortunately, FH just sent them this email back:
Good grief. Just go to a JC Penney's or something and they can measure you the right way. Quit being a bunch of dang hermits. Or call in your own info and the guy can at least tell you how to do it the right way.
At least I have FH on my side about this one!!!! But seriously...
**update**
I called Mike from Esquire Tuxedos and he was AMAZING to deal with today on the phone! I gave him all the info FMIL emailed me, including FFIL's height and weight and their home measurements, and from his experience he was able to say what sizes he believe would work out!!!!! He said to just come by the Friday before (the day before) the wedding before 3 when the tailor will be there and he'll make sure to have a few sizes on hand so it'll be a perfect fit!
I feel so much relief, it isn't even funny! Mike is the best -- if anyone is looking for a wonderful place to get tuxes, I highly, HIGHLY recommend Esquire in Merrick!!!!
Thanks everyone for your help / encouragement!!! I'm so glad it's working out!!
