We were planning on getting married at our Reception hall but the more I think about it the more I think it would work better for a church...otherwise we would miss CH and some of reception for pics...this way we could have the church early and then pics.....here is my p roblem I am divorced..and can get married in a catholic church....well I could ( i eloped in VT the first time...my wedding was never recognized by the church but from what I am told its a time consuming process and i just dont have the time...are there other churches that dont require you to jump through hoops?

Re: help finding a church
Most people in your position get married in an Episcopal Church. Its the closest to Roman Catholic but they marry people who have been married previously, had divorces, but didnt get an annulment. We got married at Saint Mark's in Islip and they were great. We werent parishionners (not even from LI actually) and they had no problems with it. Its also a beautiful old church. FM me for contact info.
