My mom is super picky......she doesn't like strapless dresses or spaghetti straps- and I don't even think she'd like a bolero jacket......I need to find her a dress with short sleeves- that is what she's most comfortable in. It's funny b/c she's such a toothpick (110 pounds!!! ) she could get away with wearing anything, but I guess she's just picky!!
For my sisters wedding she wore a navy dress with sheer short sleeves- it was beautiful!! I wish I could find something similar in green. My BM's are wearing brown, so I'd like something that doesn't clash.
Does anyone have suggestions of where to look, or some pics of MOB dresses for some inspiration??

I'd love to know what you come up with, my mom has the same preferences (no strapless, no thin straps, no jackets) ... but our wedding is November and she's ALWAYS cold, so she might wear long sleeves ...

My mom's dress has sheer caplet sleeves -- I don't remember the designer but we found it at 'My Daughter's Wedding III' in Great Neck. It also comes with a shawl too. I know the sample she tried on was like a champagne color I think. I have more pictures in my album.
That 1st dress is stunning! My gals will be in dark brown and my mom will most likely choose a rich shade of green.

What area are you shopping in? I found great styles at Metamorphosis in St.James, Omnibus in Babylon, RK Bridal in NYC, Helen's in Commack.... gosh I think I was everywhere!

thanks LImama!!! I should check out some of those......I'm in Howard Beach Queens but work in the city, I'll pretty much go anywhere if I have a shot of finding something for her.
