Help finding place for engagement party!!!

My engagement arty is supposed to be 1/12 & 1/13. We are having separate parties for his side and my side. We didn't want to have it in a hall so and our house is not big enough. So we are having two smaller parties. Now we are realizing that both parties are getting rather large for our house and we want to look into a hall or anything to have the party. We don't want to spend a ton of money on it either. The only thing I can think of is a VFW hall in Hicksville. Does anyone know any place like this to have an engagement party?

The KoC in Wantagh is really nice (I think it's either Bellmore or Wantagh, somewhere around there)...Or what about a place like Manor East, they have a lot of small rooms.

Which VFW did you use? I am looking at the one in Hicksville but I have never seen it before.

Knights of Columbus halls are nice for parties, or what about restuarants? most have separate party rooms.

What about a firehouse? We had our e-party at a firehouse in NJ, but it was really nice and accomodated 100 people. You can dress it up or down depending on your budget.

The K of C in Oceanside has a gorgeous room and does full catering and bar service for like 35 a head. Definitely check it out!

I heard the KoC in Farmingdale is nice and reasonable. But I've never been there or used it, it was just a suggestion that someone from church gave me when I was planning for my e-party.
