Help! - FMIL is killing me!

So my FMIL has been trying to get us to agree on having these hideous crystal trees as centerpieces for her table and my mother's table. She says she wants them so they can each have them as keepsakes after the wedding is over.

Long story short, I told her we don't care for them and will be sticking with the original CP idea and that she shouldn't worry because we are giving them personal keepsakes already.

Problem is I lied and now have to find something meaningful to give her from our wedding day that she can keep forever.....any ideas? Totally clueless on this one. Silly me for thinking pictures would be a good enough keepsake!

Do you plan to decorate the place card table with candles and/or pictures? Maybe one of the framed pictures from the place card table? Or if you are doing custom table #s, let her keep 'her' table #.
Maybe she will forget by then :)

They just don't go with what we want. we are having a spring wedding and these make me think winter.

oh we are doing personalized hankies. you can find them on etsy under mother of the bride stuff. then you can get that framed! (that's what FSILs did for FMIL)
