Help for 09er on a budget

First off congrats to all of you. I was wondering if anyone had centerpiece for less than $50/table. I like flowers but its not a must have. I was thinking of skipping CPs all together but I would like to have something. Did any of you do something unique or choose an inexpensive flower or used a inexpensive florist? Sorry for the the questions.

TIA

What about candles,, like diffrent size pillar candles? I was at Ikea and they sold an ivoryish - white set of UNSENTED candles there was 6 sizes for $10! Thats it $10!!! you can put on of each set on the table and some rose petals!

Flowers weren't as important to me so I definitely tried to save in that dept. My centerpieces were about $50-55 each and I had each centerpece made up as 6 small bunches so each couple could take a bunch home at the end of the night - but it looked like just one arrangement on the table.

You can fill a vase or some kind of dish with sand and shells and flank the arrangement with tea lights

there's a whole bunch of creative ideas....you could always do potted plants too or sliced fruit with inexpensive flowers in a bubble bowl - check out my shower album- thats what my bms did and I thought they were adorable! I think they ended up being $15 ea.

I used candles, bud vases, and hurricanes that my sister had bought for her wedding. I then ordered bunches of tulips from my florist. My hall put the centerpieces together. Im not sure what we really spent per table, but it was def under like $30.

Here is a pic of what my tables looked like. I killed two birds with one stone because the vases used in the centerpieces were personalized and also the favors. I don't know what you were thinking about doing for favors. And I bought the lanterns for a really good price on ebay. There were only three flowers in each vase. You can even do just one flower.

I went to flower barn. . .I don't have any pictures at work, but my low CPs were def under $50 each or around $50.

It was mostly roses, with some calla lillies and hydrangea. It was gorgeous, Mike did a great job and was VERY good with my budget - and he put up with me and my crazy Mom the week before the wedding

I got seagulls and lighthouses from Michaels and vases and pitchers from target. I was lucky it was all on sale. I clipped flowers from a friends garden.

Gina I love the way those look on the table. The tulips are so elegant with the candles and the tables aren't cluttered.

we made our own, glass mirror trays on each side with a floating centerpiece and connected together with flowers
