Help for firehouse or banquet hall in Suffolk County

Hi all,

I'm trying to help my cousin plan an engagement party on a shoe string budget for about 50 people. I have heard that fire houses will rent out the place for reasonable price or like a VFW, Knights of Columbus, Elks Club and you can bring in your own food??

We are in the Miller Place area.

Does any one have any idea of places we can go and prices or other details?

The VFW hall in Patchogue on Edwards Ave. Only place I found that didn't make you use their liquor or caterer. Inexpensive and perfect for a shoestring budget. We used it to throw my parents and anniversary party and it worked perfectly. Had all the tables and chairs, a kitchen an alcove for a dj. Just had to bring everything, which is always the cheaper way to go. Most VFW halls wanted us to use their caterer or bar.....and that wasn't cheap at all.
