Ladies- my brother and his fiancee are looking for wedding locations in Westchester County - they have already visited VIP Country Club, the Canyon Club and Glen Island Club but is looking for more ideas/recommendations. They are relatively new to Westchester so any ideas would be appreciated!

Beckwithe point is the only one I've been too. The view is to die for & the service & food were good too.

We got married at VIP Country Club and everything was amazing. We were really happy with the service, food and just everything all around. Are they definitely considering it? Tell them I highly recommend it If they still want to look there is also Fountainhead, Tappan Hill, Surf Club, Davenport Club and Beckwithe Point that they could look in to.

We got married at the Glen Island Harbour Club and everything was beautiful. Fountainhead & VIP are also very nice.
Also in The Bronx there is Villa Barone, Marine Delray and MAestros

I am going to a wedding at The Inn at Central Valley in October. It is in Orange County and not too far from Westchester (over the Tappan Zee Bridge). There are also a few that are not too far from the bridge from the same caterer. Here is the website:

WOW! Thanks so much ladies for the feedback - I should tell her to join this board since ther are many Westchester ladies!
They liked the VIP Club and have an appointment at the Glen Island Harbour Club tonight - they are running into problems with availablity of dates - they got engaged 2 weeks ago and are looking in April - September next year.

Glen Island is beautiful...i will be having my reception there in 2 months!!!! we booked at the end of 2001--for a 2003 wedding! it was very hard on availabity of dates....
from our research Glen Island & VIP were the nicest places....

I was just at a wedding at Tappan Hill - the view is hands down, phenomenal!
If you like the Glen Island Harbour Club, you may want to try the Mamaroneck Yacht Club, same type of view, very pretty. Good luck!

There's another one that I was going to look at but then we booked with a place on Long Island instead, and I can't remember the name of it. There's a few others too....in New Rochelle there's the surf club and others on that street where that one is located...and there's a nice one on the water in Throgg's Neck in the Bronx....and there's the Mariott in Tarrytown. Do not have them go to the Royal Regency in Yonkers next to the Holiday Inn. I heard bad reviews. If I remember the other one I'll let you know. Antun's was nice but too pastel for us and also looked small.
